Fleeting moments of love will forever captivate me. K+J’s wedding left me speechless in many ways. The way these two interact with each other, laugh together, and love each other would have been more than enough for me to document. Yet, add in the respect, love and commitment they have for their families ~ it pushed my teary-eyed, heart-bursting self clear into wedding day bliss.
Just a couple days before their wedding, my phone rang ~ it was K. I answered and she said, “Do you have a few minutes to chat?”
“Of course,” I said. “You may hear my kiddos in the background, but I’m all yours.” 😉
K’s mother had unexpectedly ended up in the hospital and she wouldn’t be able to make it to the wedding, K explained. K asked if it would be possible to stop at the hospital before the ceremony for a small, private service with her mom.
Absolutely, I said, and without a second thought, K+J took two hours out of their wedding day to drive downtown and make sure K’s mom was fully included in their special day. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room ~ their love and respect for each other in an inspiration.
K+J … thank you so much for choosing us to be by your sides on this incredible day. You felt like old friends ~ I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed witnessing your love for each other.
A special thank you to my friend and talented fellow photographer, Jen Sexton, for being my second photographer for the day! Congrats, you two. <3
