A room filled with tearful surprises, unconditional love, countless heartfelt moments, and life’s greatest gifts can’t afford not to be documented.
Baby Oliver entered the world about a week back and a few hours after his arrival, his parents graciously welcomed me into their room. Oliver’s two big sisters and grandparents would arrive shortly thereafter, and the emotions I was able to see ~ both young and old ~ are photos I’ll never forget. As a mama of three little ones, I fully understand how hard it can be to open yourself up to photography within hours after having a baby. I get it ~ I understand all of it, trust me. But I also know these are minutes you’ll never be able to revisit ~ defining moments for your family’s story. As both a photographer and a mama, I want to be sensitive to exactly what the parents are experiencing, all while providing a documentation they’ll never regret. This particular session wasn’t the actual birth, but instead, a First Moments session: Oliver’s sweet, sweet sisters and their priceless first kisses; Oliver laying in his mama’s arms as she excitedly announced the news to her family and friends; Daddy’s first snuggles with his son; Grandma and Grandpa’s faces as they found out he was a boy. Consider this type of photography, friends, and never look back. 🙂
A special thank you to Oliver’s parents for trusting me with this special morning, to the staff at Meriter for allowing my presence, and to my dear friend John Maniaci for sending this sweet family my way.
She’s holding his hand … <3
And the most amazing big sister awards go to …
Grandpa entered the room with pink flowers in his hands ~ he was certain it was a girl. 😉
He couldn’t have been happier to hold a baby boy. <3
Congratulations to this new family of five. 🙂
