A few years back, they took a risk. Laura and Jay left their jobs in Milwaukee and moved to the breathtaking state of Colorado. Although I live and die by the magnificence of the Midwest, photographing a Rocky Mountain pair here in Milwaukee is a challenge — one I was happy to undertake. 😉 Within minutes of meeting Laura the day of her wedding, I overheard she and Jay had gone for an early-morning run along Lake Michigan. The weather was perfect, she said, and the water was just beautiful. These two are Midwesterners at heart, I thought to myself. 🙂
Laura has a smile filled with radiance and serenity. Jay’s kindness and sincerity puts everyone in his presence at ease. Together, they possess a peace and love perfectly fitting for a quiet outdoor wedding along the beautiful Milwaukee River. I was absolutely honored to capture this Hubbard Park Lodge celebration just one week back. Hubbard Park is such a gorgeous, understated venue — one I definitely hope to return to soon.
