Alison and Peter ~ Milwaukee engagement photographer

Burrrr!! It’s cold outside, friends! And far too early in the year for these temps, I might add. 🙂

But, there is hope. Last year, our wedding was October 16, and it was gooooorgeous. As in, the most perfect, beautiful, Wisconsin day of the year. OK, maybe I’m biased, but it had to be in the high 60s or low 70s. More of those temps would be fabulous, Mother Nature! Tommy and I have a new patio to use!

Back in early April, I had this grand idea of redoing our rundown, crappy outdoor patio. I cleared it out, cleaned it up, went to Home Depot and picked out paint colors. Then … I got pregnant. No painting for me. So my dear, sweet husband undertook the task. Not only did he meticulously paint every corner, just as requested, but he also installed new screen (with the help of my bro)! And he even tore down a big ugly bush, so now we have a clear view all around. WhatAGuy. Our new patio furniture arrived yesterday, so once I’ve finished decorating, I’ll be sure to post some pics!

Today, I wanted to share a sweet engagement session I recently did. Alison and Peter are tying the knot next summer, and I can’t wait for their American Club wedding!

These two actually met at the Wisconsin Humane Society, which also happens to be where Alison works. When she suggested we do their engagement session on the Humane Society grounds, I jumped at the chance! A new location is always a welcome challenge, and I loved how she tied in a spot that has special meaning.

I can’t wait until June, Alison and Peter! 🙂
