“He’s just my best friend. We laugh, all the time … sometimes for hours before we go to sleep.”
These were the words Amy said while a makeup artist carefully lined her eyes, just hours before the wedding ceremony. There she sat … beautiful, glowing, smiling, reminiscing. How am I so lucky to spend these precious moments with people on the most cherished day of their love story, I thought to myself.
Amy doesn’t cry, she admits. When she gets nervous or sad, she laughs. No need for the waterproof mascara, Amy said to the makeup artist … she’ll just laugh instead. π
Something tells me these two know exactly how fortunate they are to have found each other. Amy has a beautiful little girl, Alex, and although she and her daughter are extremely close, Alex is closer to Tony, Amy says.
When the two look at each other … oh my goodness, there’s no one else in the room. That’s partially what makes wedding photography such a joy: People are so wrapped up in each other that they sometimes forget there’s a photographer present …
Love this love.
Tony’s sister, Mary, did all the flowers for the wedding. Gorgeous!
Looks as if little Alex is pretty happy her mommy just got married. π
In a game of Seven Degrees, my fiancΓ© went to school with this little guy’s parents. As I was editing last week, Tommy saw the photo below and said, “He looks just like John’s dad.” Mary, what do you think … is he his grandpa? π
Amy and Tony, thank you so much for choosing me to document your wedding day. I wish the three of you many blessings and lots of happiness in the years to come. π
