Baby Colin ~ Elm Grove Newborn Photographer

SIGH.

Yesterday, I took some time away from my business to start a home project, take in the nice weather, and spend a few extra minutes (or was it an hour?) playing in the backyard with our puppy. (It was a day I needed — when you start dreaming about shoots, editing, Facebook pages, blog posts, and weddings that are two years out, it’s time to take a step back for a bit.)

Today, it’s back to gray skies and near-freezing temperatures. (No really, it’s 34 degrees outside.) What gives, Wisconsin? I try and stay positive, but come onnnnn … enough of the teasing already.

I can’t possibly be the only one feeling this way. The weekend forecast looks anything but promising. So, I’ve decided it’s definitely time for a pick-me-up. How about some photos of an ADORABLE little baby? Yes, please.

Baby Colin made his first appearance on a previous Friday’s Frame, but I’ve got a couple more shots to share with you all.

If there are two people in this community who have helped get my business off the ground more than any other couple, it would be Colin’s parents, Mary and John. Mary is personally responsible for three beautiful weddings I photographed last year (if not more!), and John is the type of friend who will pull out his phone to show my photos to the girl cutting his hair (her wedding is coming up this fall!). 🙂 That, and endless children/family sessions have stemmed from their friends and acquaintances. I once said all my clients are Seven Degrees to Mary and John. That might not be too far off. 🙂 If you’re in search of a new car, Tommy and I highly recommend John over at Uptown.

So let’s take one more look at this precious little boy. (You may recall — he’s not so little.) 😉

Colin’s older brother, Andrew, was trying to settle Colin down when we wanted a photo of the two of them. He kept putting his finger over his mouth and saying, “Shhhhhh.” SO sweet. 🙂

Look at those lips!
