Summer just has to be right around the corner. Right? RIGHT.
The birds are chirping, the sun peeks through the clouds every seven hours or so, and lately, we’ve been grilling out Johnsonville brats as if they’re the sixth category in the food pyramid. Please God, send us some warm weather. I can’t take another cloudy, cold, windy, hail-ish day! (Who got stuck in Sunday’s hail storm? Tommy and I did. All I could think while driving in the hail was, Take notice, future April brides.) 😉 I oftentimes get asked, “Is April too early for nice weather?” It’s SO hit and miss!
Anyways, in celebration of Almost Summer, I thought I’d post a photo from a session last summer. I know, forever ago, right? But this is a reminder to my super cool clients: Contact me now to schedule your spring and summer photo sessions! It’s not too early. Warm weather is just around the corner, and dates are filling up fairly quickly.
This little girl’s name is Kiya, and she is a DOLL. I remember it was pretty hot and sticky the day of her photo shoot. Even so, she was willing to run around and explore all sorts of fun things with me. 🙂
Speaking of sunshine, I heard tomorrow is supposed to be SUPER nice weather! Fingers crossed. 🙂 When you’re not outdoors soaking up some rays, feel free to hop online and watch a live streaming of the Wisconsin News Photographers Association annual contest judging. You’ll be able to see the work of some of the best photographers in the state, as well as listen in on constructive conversation from seasoned professionals. I’ll be attending the judging in Madison, but you can hear and see it all from the comforts of your own couch! Click here. Judging begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Oh … and P.S. … I attended my first Opening Day on Monday with a couple close friends. That’s right, my first! I’m excited to announce: The three of us made the jumbotron! It was a total shocker! I have to admit, though: Seeing your face on 5,900 square feet of HD is a 90% fun, 10% traumatic. 😉
Have a great weekend!
