Forgive me, mom fans! I’ve been a bit M.I.A. from the blogging world … thankfully, for good reason! The last couple weeks have been a whirlwind of newspaper work, editing, scheduling, planning, invoicing, preparation, and, in the end … shooting!
This past weekend was exciting, exhausting and full of laughs: I photographed not one but two weddings, for two super cool couples. One on Friday, one on Saturday. One in Ripon, one in Milwaukee. When Sunday finally hit, I rested my poor feet and enjoyed my FAVE meal ever … a BBQ chicken calzone from Benvenuto’s. Thanks, dear!
Let’s start with Friday’s wedding, Gwen and Curt. (Check back in a few days for Saturday’s pics!) Gwen and Curt were married their way: About a month back, they hopped on a plane with their closest family members, best’est friends and said “I do” on a beach in Jamaica. Shortly after their return, Gwen and Curt had a Royal Ridges reception planned for all of their family and friends. That’s where I came in! Friday was “everything but” the actual ceremony … a beautiful dress, a cute couple, yummy cake and a whole lot of dancing. Great idea, if you ask me!
As the sun fell shortly before the reception, we decided to head outside the hall and take a few photos in front of the ridge. Do brides get any more beautiful than Gwen? I think not …
And here’s the lucky guy.
After taking the next photo, I became a bit obsessed with Gwen’s double-banded wedding ring … preeeeeeeetty!
This wedding party knew how to have a good time … could these two smiles be any bigger?
Thank you, Gwen and Curt, for letting me photograph your reception. I had a blast! I’ve said it before, but you’re an adorable couple!
