These two have a certain comfort and class to them, a way of interacting that leaves me smiling while we’re shooting or simply chatting.
“They were awesome, so fun to talk to,” I said to my husband as I drove home after their session. “They even brought me coffee.” (True story.)
Haley and Jerry make love look so easy.
Last weekend, we met up for some engagement photos down by Lakeshore State Park and The Marsupial Bridge. Jerry is the son of one of my extremely talented photography friends, Tom. (Tom is a former Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal photographer, current freelancer and an amazing (THE most amazing) environmental photographer. Check out his work here — it will take your breath away.) Just like his dad, Jerry is about as kind as they come.
And Haley — well, Haley didn’t quite know what she was getting herself into when she told me she works at Children’s Hospital. I have a slight obsession with people who work there — I just feel those who care for our children are angels on earth. Sweet as sweet can be, this girl …

Haley and Jerry will be getting married in November at Holy Rosary Parish and Lakefront Brewery, a venue filled with Milwaukee character and class.
