I’m back! Jamaica was beauuuuuuuuuuutiful! And hot. Without giving away too many details from my next post, I learned a couple things last week: Destination weddings are an entirely new experience, and no sunscreen in the world is waterproof, water resistant, “sport performance,” or however-you-want-to-say, won’t-wash-off-in-the-water! They all come off in the ocean, and my poor feet and ankles look like I stuck them in a campfire. Coppertone you LIE. However, the water was spectacular and the view in the Caribbean is surreal.
I’ll post some photos from Jamaica later this week, but I wanted to show you a few shots from a beautiful engagement shoot I had right before I left. Kamy and Jeremy were referred to me by my friend and college roommate, Jen Patrykus. Jen is also a great photographer, so I was especially honored by the recommendation!
The three of us met up early Sunday morning, just hours before Kamy left for a week in Florida. We spent some time in a secluded area of the Menomonee River Parkway — Kamy and Jeremy love to bring their dog, Remmy, here to run. The weather was perfect and the sunshine was on my side.
From meeting her only once, I knew Kamy would show up in cool clothes, and she didn’t disappoint! I love how her bright yellow shirt looks against the backdrop of spring green trees.
Here’s Remmy!
At the end of the shoot, Jeremy spotted a great crab apple tree. Of course, the photographer in me LOVES these trees because of the color. My fiancé feels a bit differently, though: He cut ours down because it was a “huge mess.” Hmph. Oh well … I can enjoy them elsewhere! I had Jeremy shake some of the blossoms in front of Kamy’s face. I think it’s a great look for their wedding! Crab apple blossoms throughout her pretty blonde hair. 🙂
Thanks for playing, guys!
