Kayla and Andrew ~ Milwaukee wedding photographer

Their little sisters knew all along.

When Kayla and Andrew were in middle school, their younger sisters became close friends. “How can we get our brother and sister to fall in love and get married,” they’d ask each other as the years flew by.

Turns out, it wasn’t just playground talk. Somehow, some way, their scheming worked. Shortly after graduation, Kayla and Andrew started dating. They fell in love. And a couple Saturdays ago, they promised each other forever. Just as their little sisters had hoped all along.

At times, when photographing a wedding, I get a feeling I can’t quite describe. A sense of peace, a sense of love, a sense of forever. I adore these two — their smiles, their personalities, their kind hearts, their willingness to trust in each other, and in me. Thank you, Kayla and Andrew, for inviting me in to your special day. Your life together is going to be spectacular. 🙂

In the photo below, Andrew was winking at the flower girls as they walked down the aisle. 🙂

Kayla and Andrew held their wedding and reception at The Polish Center, Franklin. It’s not too often I’m entirely satisfied with just one location for the entire wedding day, but this setting turned out to be gorgeous. Every photo you’ll see on the post was taken at The Polish Center.

Kayla had a fabulous idea to release some balloons during the ceremony in honor of her grandfather …

And another fabulous idea? A bubble machine during your first kiss …

I’m not sure who this kind man is, but I sort of love him for giving Kayla a thumbs up. 🙂

The best man seemed to be stressing a little right before his toast … but of course, all went well. 🙂

Kayla — we simply must know what Andrew was saying to you … spill it. 🙂

I’m sure these two will love me in a couple years …

Alright, it’s time to unveil my favorite Bouquet Toss sequence ever. I’m not quite sure who this girl is, but she cracked. me. UP. She came out of nowhere, and she wanted that bouquet like no other. As for her competition? She’s what I call a good sport. 🙂

Take notice of the guy with the green tie in the photo below (at right) — that’s her boyfriend, soaking it all in. 🙂 After I shot the sequence, I was looking at the back of my camera, laughing to myself. He came up to me and said, “I see you’re laughing over here. Can I take a look?” I showed him the photos and he cracked up as well.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing in their love. 🙂
