Confession: These big blue eyes forced me to cheat a little on my blog posts.
The photo below isn’t of an actual client … it’s of my adorable nephew, Landon. I would never deceive you into thinking otherwise. 😉 Ever see those photographers who have “destination wedding” photos in their portfolios, only to realize the pictures mysteriously resemble a Lake Michigan sunset? Ugh. Not me. Not in this lifetime. I promise. If it’s my child, I’ll tell you. And if it’s a Derksen, you’ll know. 🙂
I have a few new backgrounds that I just had to try out, so what better way to make babysitting three siblings better than turn it into a Super Special Photo Session? (If I word it just right, I can easily entertain a 12-year-old, a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old for a solid 30 minutes. Two of them turn into “assistants” while one becomes a “model.”)

A week from today, I’ll be packing my bags and heading to Jamaica! Dyan and Chris are having a destination wedding — I absolutely can’t wait to capture their special day under some beautiful Caribbean light!
