“OK, so just tell me what we need to do to book you,” Loreen said to me approximately 10 minutes after the three of us sat down for their wedding consultation last year. Music to my ears, my dear. Derek pulled out the retainer fee and before I could finish my coffee, we were a photography match made in heaven.
With every couple I photograph, it seems as though I find something new to be thankful for. Loreen and Derek decided to put 110% trust in me. I photographed their engagement photos a couple months prior — not only did they let me choose the location for their e-session, they also let me choose the location for their wedding photos. We decided to head down to Lakeshore State Park, just a walk away from Discovery World, and take advantage of the beautiful October skies. There’s nothing quite like photographing newlyweds on one of the most gorgeous days of the year.
Let’s take a look inside their big day …
Yes, she’s just as sweet in person as she appears in these photos … I just love how she’s checking out her little flower girl dress!
Notice the groomsman is holding the liquor and the groom is holding the rings … Yup, that’s about right.
She’s adorable, I know. And kind. And beautiful. And totally in love …
I wish I could say I had Jen photograph the candy table because I’m all super-healthy and anti-candy. Uhh, no. She did photograph it, but I may have had a piece of the grape Pull n’ Peel you see below. Grape Pull n’ Peel = YUM. I’d say it was more delicious than dinner, but let’s be honest … have you ever attended a wedding reception at Joey Buona’s, downtown? Those Italians Never. Stop. Feeding you!! (Take note, future brides: It’s definitely in the running for some of the best wedding food I’ve ever tasted. Get the ravioli!!)
A big congrats to Loreen and Derek — it was an absolute honor to be included in your special day.
