As a wedding photographer who attends multiple weddings per month, there’s nothing quite better than spending week after week with couples whose presence I truly enjoy. Maura and Heinz are simply a pleasure to be around — they’re smart, laid back, fun, and most importantly, in love. 🙂
Instead of photographing a traditional engagement session before their wedding, Maura and Heinz had me do something a bit different — I photographed their civil ceremony first, and a few weeks later, I photographed their actual wedding. (This explains the multiple photo locations (and beautiful dresses!) you’ll see in these photos.) Heinz is from Switzerland, and many of his closest friends and family members traveled all the way to Wisconsin for their big day. The ceremony (and much of the day, for that matter) was translated into Swiss German. Half of the vows were in English, the other half in Swiss German. I thought the mixture of cultural traditions was extremely meaningful and heartfelt. Thank you, Maura and Heinz, for allowing me to capture such a special time in your lives together. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you both. 🙂
Maura and Heinz’s wedding and reception was held at the Milwaukee Rite Center. We decided to do a First Look a couple hours before the ceremony — best decision ever for this couple. 🙂
