“We met in a dream while we were young, and it has been that dream that has sustained us throughout our lives.”
As Sadie’s grandfather raised a glass, his toast gave me goosebumps. Last weekend’s wedding was yet another day I had been looking forward to all year. The couple, as well as several family members and friends, traveled all the way from Alaska to get married at the beautiful Cedar Hill Farm. The setting seemed to embrace the pair and every ounce of love surrounding them.
As soon as Sadie booked me, we began to chat back and forth a bit via email. She and Justin both travel around Alaska for their jobs — he’s a mechanic, she’s a chef. I mentioned it’s a dream of mine to visit Alaska one day, and she told me the state is a beautiful, life-changing place. “You can hardly see everything in one trip,” she said, “s0 like many before you, you’ll probably end up becoming an Alaska Addict.” 🙂
By all accounts, Sadie fell in love with a bit more than just the state. She met Justin, who also is the proud father of four adorable children. If Justin wasn’t holding Sadie’s hands, one of the kids took his place — the love present among the six of them was incredibly sweet. The day was simply beautiful, on both the outside and in.
These outfits could not have been any more adorable. Period.
Sadie’s style was impeccable. Everything matched in the coolest, prettiest, most handmade way possible.
We decided to do a First Look before the ceremony, which was quite possibly the only few moments these two had to themselves all day long. 🙂
I love this next moment. Considering how many people love him, Justin needs a couple more hands for them to hold.

It rained, and rained, and then rained some more …
The theme throughout the day was flying (and kissing) pigs, because … 1. It’s cuuuuuute. and 2. One of Sadie’s aunts always told her she’d get married when pigs fly. 🙂
