A sample wedding album ~ Milwaukee wedding photographer

Alright. Deep breath. I need to get something off my chest.

I’m. Totally. OBSESSED. Shamelessly addicted with every ounce of my being to … (oh please someone stop me before I admit this) … The Bachelor.

… am I hearing crickets here? Any ladies out there with me? Oh fine, admit it or not: I KNOW you watch the show. 🙂

Nine years, 21 seasons. I’ve seen them ALL. It never mattered whether I was single, 19 years old, dating, wishing-I-were-single, wishing-I-were-dating, engaged, 28 years old, and (to those who are wondering) … it still doesn’t matter now that I’m married … That show is my drug.

The camera work. The dresses. The guys stumbling over their words. The scenery. That mysterious multimillion-dollar mansion in Cali. Private helicopter trips over the jungles of South Africa preceded with personal Train concerts in the middle of Times Square. And, of course, who can’t laugh alongside the man with either the easiest job on Earth or the most patient wife known to mankind: Chris Harrison, America’s favorite host-turned-psychologist.

Perhaps my biggest confession remains: I’m partially responsible for one of my closest girlfriends actually being on the show. That’s how big of a fan I am. She aired on Brad’s first season in 2007. And although she wasn’t one of the (un)lucky final two to get rejected by the doofus (no hate comments please, he was a doofus back then), I will say she’s now happily married to a man she met just days before filming began. (He waited.) 😉

And oh, the FINAL ROSE. My goodness, those dang proposals (and non-proposals) get me every time. My eyes fill with tears. I realize the stats — I know full-well they’ll probably split before the show even breaks to commercial. But hey, it’s still a glimpse of … looove.

That said, let’s talk about Brad. The season finale airs tonight. TONIGHT! I swear on all I am: If this man doesn’t choose Emily, I’m done. I’m done with Brad, I’m done with the show, I’m done with you, ABC!! Emily is every man’s dream. Basically, I don’t let Tommy watch The Bachelor for two reasons: (1) He says it’s the worst show on Earth and he’d probably die if he had to sit through an episode (I don’t want him to die). (2) I don’t want him to see a woman like Emily. OK joke. Sort of. Emily is Mother Theresa in Barbie’s body. If your name isn’t Tommy, check her out here. I’m not sure whether I want her to win because she should, or just so she’ll be taken. (Joke again.) She is amazing!

Back to reality. Honestly, this all boils down to one of my truest obsessions: Love. To me, witnessing love never gets old. It’s a good thing I’m a wedding photographer. Every Saturday during wedding season is like an eight-hour episode of The Bachelor. (Minus the part where I’m sitting on our couch with a martini in my hands.)

Speaking of wedding season … it’s rapidly approaching. I’m oh-so-ready. Bring on the warm weather! I can’t wait to see all of my 2011 real-life love stories unfold. In the meantime, I thought I’d show everyone a pretty sample album I offer at love, katie photography

This particular sample is a 10×10 flush mount album with thick lay-flat pages and no middle gutter. Pages are printed as full spreads and not cut so no photos or designs are lost in the center of the book. Albums can be ordered in a variety of sizes, with various page counts. (The album below has 20 pages (40 sides).)

Check it out. 🙂

The album above has a beautiful dark red alligator leather cover, but the cover options are endless. Clients may choose from fabrics, standard and premium leathers, and custom photo covers. If you’d like to see the album or cover samples in person, just ask!

One last thought: Although the majority of people think “weddings” when photographers show sample albums, don’t be afraid to venture outside the box and create an album out of almost any photo session. It could be an engagement, your baby’s first year, a birthday party, or a newborn session. Let’s face it, coffee table books never go out of style. 🙂

Have a great day!

p.s. go emily.
