Friday’s Frame ~ Milwaukee engagement photographer

Just a quick blog post today, friends. I can’t help but be distracted by the news over in Japan. Let’s not forget how small of a world we live in — the victims easily could be our loved ones. If you haven’t yet heard the news, head on over to CNN and take a look.

On a happier note, I have been thinking all week about launching a new blog feature today called, “Friday’s Frame.” Friday’s Frame will be a weekly post on the love, katie blog. Every Friday, I will share a single frame. One of my goals as a photographer is to help people see the beauty in a single photo. Far too often (especially in the days of digital photography, where eeeeeveryone has a camera), the beauty of a single frame is lost. How many of you have folders upon folders of digital pictures sitting on your hard drives, and just one or two 8×10’s hanging on your wall? Overwhelming, isn’t it. (Side note: I do not endorse hanging 8×10’s on your walls, but that discussion will be for left for another blog post.) 🙂 Through Friday’s Frame, I hope to show you … Less is more. (And as for the photos on your walls, the bigger the photos, the better.)

Friday’s Frame may be from a session or it may be from my personal life. You’ll have to check back each week to see!

Today’s photo totally reminds me of love, in its simplest form. I photographed Megan and Kevin’s engagement this past fall — this one image keeps popping back into my mind. I thought Megan was so effortlessly pretty. (She’s one of thoooose girls.) 😉 And how her head just fit right on Kevin’s shoulder …

Happy Friday, everyone!
