Xavier ~ 6 months ~ Milwaukee children’s photographer

Hey guys! Welcome back!

What a week it’s been. All good things, of course … except for my nasty seven-day cold that seems to be hanging on for DEAR LIFE. I’ve been living on four Vitamin C pills per day, which equates to 3,332% of the recommended daily value. Might be overkill … but I’ve been functioning every day since, so for all practical purposes, it has worked!

This week was filled with quite a bit of newspaper work, which definitely keeps me on my photography toes. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m incredibly thankful for the role newspapers have played in my journey as a photographer. The day-in, day-out routine of newspaper photography keeps you humble. You’re only as good as your last photo, they say, which is entirely and wholeheartedly true. I photographed an assignment for The Washington Post on Tuesday, but you’ll have to wait until mid-March to see it. 🙂 Top secret info, I suppose. If you’re interested in checking out a couple of my local assignments from this past week, click here, or here. (The expression of the little boy who shot a free throw in front of Michael Redd will be etched in my mind for days to come … so precious.)

Today, I wanted to share a few photos of a precious six-month-old I recently photographed. Quite a few six-month-old babies seem to be coming my way lately, which is an awesome thing. And even better, I photographed this little guy when he was a newborn. Check him out here first to see how much he’s grown.

It’s amazing how much little babies change in six months, yet it’s so special to see how much they stay the same. Xavier’s face looks exactly as it did when he was born. 🙂

After I sent Xavier’s mom the link to her online gallery, she wrote me back no more than three minutes later … I laughed out loud. That has to be a record! (I blacked out names for privacy reasons, but take a look … as a photographer, there’s no better feeling …)

That’s all for today, folks! Thanks for your continued support through my business name transition! (If you haven’t yet taken a look at my new website, click here.)

Also, be sure to head on over to my newly-named Facebook page and click LIKE! 🙂
