Hello friends.
Welcome back!
Well, it’s been a rather rough week in the Garderksen household. (Garderksen … I like it! Thanks, JC.) 😉 A whirlwind of ups and downs, you might say. If it’s possible to feel every emotion within seven days, I’m pretty sure I did. I lost my beautiful, loving, amazing grandmother last Monday. Grandma was an angel in training. She was everything I hope to be, and nothing I can put into words (not quite yet, at least).
Friday morning, I headed to Madison to celebrate the wedding weekend of one of my best friends, Andrea. I felt so entirely special to be Andrea’s maid of honor. She’s the type of person who people stand in line to get to know. Seriously. She’s that cool, that classy, that kind. My mom said it best: “She has finesse.” Thank you, Andrea my dear … I’ll never forget your big day!
In between it all, I had a few great photo sessions … and I came down with the dreaded pre-winter cold (you know, the one that makes you feel as if your head weighs 80 pounds) … curse you, cold season! But thank you, Tylenol Severe Cold big white pills. I’m not sure what’s in those little capsules, but I do know it’s a tiny dash of magic.
So to all my clients who may have e-mailed me in the past couple of days: If I haven’t gotten back to you, a reply is coming! Your e-mail is flagged and I will respond very soon. Thank you for understanding!
Now for a few photos. I’ve looked at these pictures a couple times this past week as I finished up the edit, and they always brought a smile to my face. Baby Xavier was four weeks old at the time of this session, but you wouldn’t guess it! So tiny, so adorable, so sweet.
Sleepy baby smiles … if they don’t melt your heart, I suggest you check your pulse. 🙂
Lots to catch up on in the next two weeks! And oh yeah, my sweetie and I are getting hitched in 18 days. 🙂 Any last minute wedding tips are most certainly welcome!
