There’s nothing quite like photographing a newborn. Easy? No. Rewarding? Most definitely. Newborns are a wonderful change of pace for me — the process is so entirely different than newspaper work or weddings. Ten-day-old babies have minds and schedules of their own — they cry, they squirm, they doze off, they wake up, they know exactly what to do when their diapers are off, and if you’re extremely lucky, they smile in their sleep. When all is said and done, the end result is well worth the time invested. So, so precious.
Breanna’s mother contacted me a few weeks before she gave birth, hoping I could fit her into my schedule once her little girl arrived. Of course, I replied … there’s always time for a beautiful little baby. We made a few precious pictures early Sunday morning …
Breanna’s mom found this adorable pink dress that seemed to be sized just for her. Her very first dress! I love how she has an “almost smile” in this photo … the girl likes to look pretty! Can you blame her?
She was so beautiful and perfect, it was hard to choose which photos to share. Thank you, Breanna Marie! I can’t wait to watch you grow. 🙂
