Ohhhhhhh Dylan, you make me jealous our baby isn’t here quite yet. You’ve got to be one of the most beautiful little boys my camera has ever seen!
Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing Dylan at just 10 days old. As I mentioned before, Dylan’s parents and older sister were some of my very first clients. First as in, “Oh my goodness, these people want to pay me to take their family photos, and we’re not even related.” 🙂 When I launched my original website and set up my email address, I’ll never forget seeing Rachel’s name pop into my Inbox. As a matter of fact, I have a screen shot! I keep this to remind me exactly where I started …
You’ll notice directly above Rachel’s email is an email from myself. You know, to make sure things were working in the mysterious email universe … I mean, what if I accidentally missed a message from, oh say … the president?
I remember thinking a couple years back, “Will my Inbox ever be overflowing with requests …” HA! Be careful what you wish for. 😉 Life is good.
On to some photos. Dylan’s parents decided to wait until birth to find out whether their second baby was a boy or a girl — that is some self-control I simply do not have, but what an exciting surprise, right? Rachel told me she always thought she’d be a mom to all girls, so toward the beginning of her pregnancy, she had a “girl” intuition, but toward the end, it quickly turned to “boy.” And I’m pretty sure this family couldn’t be happier!
I can’t wait to watch you grow, little man. 🙂
A special thanks goes out to Rachel’s sister, who graciously lent us a couple props for the photo shoot! Also, an extra-special thanks to Dylan’s dad, who kept Big Sister Eve entertained for a full two hours … and who, you know, put up with a minor “accident” or two. 🙂
