Friday’s Frame ~ Waukesha newborn photographer

It’s an early morning Friday’s Frame, folks!

Tommy and I have an exciting weekend coming up — Tommy’s brother, Michael, is getting married in downtown Milwaukee! This means many things: 1. I will have an awesome new sister-in-law in less than 48 hours. 2. I finally get a weekend off to hang with my hubby. 3. My best friend Jenny is coming into town from Indianapolis to shoot the wedding! YAY! And oh, did I mention the weather is supposed to be gorgeous?

Baby and I are doing great, too. I’m so thankful the fibroid pain has finally subsided. As in, thankful every minute of every day. I didn’t realize pregnancy could feel this good! This entire experience has given me a whole new perspective on how vastly different every woman’s pregnancy can be. As for the nursery? Tommy has been working endless nights painting and prepping — our next step is to get new carpeting, which for us, has been a tougher compromise than the decision of what to name our child. 🙂 He likes plush carpeting. I like frieze. (Which he calls shag, but it’s not even close to shag.) 🙂 There just has to be something in the middle …

For today’s photo, I wanted to share a frame from a newborn session I did earlier this week — Dylan Heath. Dylan’s parents and big sister are some of my original clients, and I can’t lie: The word “favorites” comes to mind. OK, so I have a lot of favorites. But there’s something really special about those first few families who stick with you through the years — the ones who trust in your talent, who watch you grow as a photographer and as a person. (But enough sappiness … on to the photo.) Just two weeks ago, this family welcomed a tiny little boy into their home, and oh my goodness, if boys are beautiful, he is IT. Check it out …

Absolutely precious, right? In case anyone is wondering, the hat is from Etsy.com (of course!) … I know it can sometimes be difficult to find cute things for little boys, but I simply love that website.

Check back soon for a full post from Dylan’s session, as well as a wedding and a couple recent engagements. Enjoy the weather, everyone!
