Friday’s Frame ~ 11.9 months old

OK, so she’s not exactly 11.9 months old, but that’s how I’ve been feelings these days … secretly hanging on to every single second of this last month in her first year.

Our baby girl. Last year at this time, Tommy and I hardly decorated for Christmas. We got a mini Charlie Brown Christmas tree and called it a day. I was about 11 months pregnant, totally uncomfortable, forever grateful, and quite honestly, terrified. I was worried about how it all would go … the birth, her first few breaths, her first day at home, the first couple of months as a family. It’s amazing what a miraculous gift we’ve been given in just 12 months time.

Baby Girl is tearing up every inch of our house these days, and loving every minute of it. We decorated for Christmas this past week — having a child to admire the decorations brings a whole new level of excitement to the holidays. When Gracey woke up the morning after we set up the tree, she started waving at it. Like, she thought it was a person. I’ve never before been so amused at 5 a.m.

I thought I’d share a pic of Baby Girl cruising with her walker! She kicks it into high gear down the straightaway but when she reaches the wall, she’s not quite sure how to turn around. 🙂 Guess she still needs her mama.

I also wanted to extend a sincere thank you to all of the supportive feedback on my new blog and new website! Click on over and check it out if you haven’t already. Have a great weekend! 🙂
