Friday’s Frame ~ Milwaukee newborn photographer

Welcome back, friends! I’m so happy you’ve stopped by for the second round of Friday’s Frame. πŸ™‚

But, first things first. Considering this week’s previous post, I’d be remiss if I didn’t offer up some type of opinion on Monday night’s season finale of The Bachelor. Men have their sports updates filling our Facebook feeds, and women have shows like … The Bachelor. If you’re not a woman, you might want to skip this read and stop back next week … this is the second and final post about this year’s Bachelor, promise promise.

Moving forward. In case you missed it, SHE WON. Yiippeee! Bachelor Brad dug himself out of the hole he created in 2007 and proposed to Emily β€” the most beautiful, perfect, sweet, kind girl ABC has ever brought to the table. He pulled out the Neil Lane ring, popped the question, she said yes, “Marry Me” by Train magically played over sweeping camera footage of the two lovebirds kissing, and premarital bliss ensued … for a solid 40, maybe 50, seconds.

Cut to the After the Final Rose special. History seemed to be repeating itself, and Brad was right back in his big ole’ hole.

As the story goes, Brad first had to sit on the dreaded couch and face his “runner up,” Chantal. The two sat worlds apart, and Brad played her straight: “Hey buddy, you’re kind of cool, so I kept ya around.” Through her hysterical tears, she mumbled, “It’s ok, I met the best-guy-ever just days after you dumped me.” Really, sweetheart? You really did? Oh it was painful to watch … mostly because, we’ve all been in your shoes, girlfriend. Just admit your new boyfriend is a rebound. No one is gonna judge ya.

Alright alright, I thought, bring out Emily. When Chantal left and Chris Harrison asked Brad if he and Emily were still engaged, Brad replied, “Well I think so … is she going to tell me different?” Yet another reason why this show is so unbelievably addicting: The Bachelor has to ask the host if he’s still engaged.

Out walks Emily. Still looking beautiful, but in true fashion of any scorned 25-year-old, she was sporting a new hair color and cut.

She felt he cheated on her during the show, Emily explained, since Brad was fairly vocal about saying he knew early on she was “the one.” Apparently, the dust hadn’t quite settled from all the “material” Brad gave ABC to work with. When Chris asked Emily if she’ll be moving to Austin anytime soon, she replied (without a blink), “Um … NO.”

As for Brad? Well, he simply sat on the couch, arm around his girl, smiling. He said “ouch” once or twice. And smiled a little more. They exchanged I-Love-You’s about 64 times. I mean really, what more could the man do? He had his angel sitting next to him β€” the girl who was a bit p’ed off her fiancΓ© fantasy-suite’ed-it-up with another woman just a week before proposing. Sorry Brad, but this battle is your own.

There you have it! Season 21 in the books. Part of me seriously prays I’ll lose the desire to continue watching when Season 22 rolls around. And part of me doesn’t. πŸ˜‰

For this week’s Friday’s Frame, I decided to post a photo I recently took of my newest little nephew, Rhett. On Feb. 4, I became an aunt for the fourth time β€” Rhett has two brothers and one sister at home. I saw Rhett again this past Sunday … his tiny little face is just so heavenly. I could kiss him a million times over. There are many things in life I’m extremely thankful for, but family is at the very top of my list.

Have a great weekend! πŸ™‚
