Friday’s Frame ~ Waukesha children’s photographer

Well folks, it’s here. My 2011 wedding season, that is. Tomorrow, I’ll be heading up to Appleton to shoot my first wedding of the year. Big smiles. 🙂

In a perfect world, I’d spend today napping. Yup, the whole day. But I’m not so sure nap days coincide with adulthood. My to-do list isn’t going to budge if I fall asleep — honestly, the day before a wedding is almost busier than the day of. Not to mention, things were set back about 30 minutes this morning when our dog caught a squirrel in the backyard. She’s chased them for years — the squirrels always win. But today’s squirrel got a little too cocky. Maybe he forgot it was Friday the 13th. And sooner than my sleepy eyes could focus, the squirrel was in our dog’s mouth. One of us (the squirrel or myself) was bound to have a heart attack, and thankfully (I guess), the squirrel went first. Gross.

On to cuter things. I recently had the pleasure of photographing a sweet little 1-year-old, Sophia. For this week’s Friday’s Frame, I decided to share an image from her session. She hid her smiles behind this little stuffed monkey … such a precious little soul. 🙂

I’ve been thankfully overwhelmed the past week or two with 2012 wedding inquiries — to all of my future brides-to-be, I’m so excited to be a part of your special days! Some of the more popular months are quickly filling up, but there are still plenty of good dates open, so if you know of anyone who is recently engaged, feel free to pass along my info. 🙂 A referral is the best compliment I could ever receive!

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.
