Yiiipppeeeeee!! It’s finally here! My new website, that is. 🙂
For anyone who missed the announcement on my Facebook page yesterday, check out the link to my new site: www.lovekatiephotography.com
No, I mean really … go check it out. It’s pretty darn cool … I’ll wait.
I wanted to give my cool clients and blog readers a little background info on my business name change. You know, business talk …
You can read about my new name, “love, katie photography,” in the About section on my new site. Basically, I got married — I’m no longer Katie Derksen, so I needed a new business name. That, and I have a sister-in-law named Katie Derksen who was attempting to steal all of my fame and fortune … so it was time to officially switch. LOL (The latter is totally untrue … love you Katie!!)
Now for the details.
First and foremost, if you haven’t yet noticed, my blog address has changed to www.lovekatiephotography.com/blog. Take a look above in the address bar and you’ll see. It’s the same blog, same content, just a new URL. For a limited time, if you accidentally go to my old blog address, you will be automatically forwarded to my new blog address, but if you have my blog bookmarked, please bookmark it again now with the new address.
Second, if you happen to subscribe to my blog via RSS feed (that little orange square you see in the Menu bar next to Suscribe), please subscribe again. Or, the same goes for e-mail subscriptions … please enter your e-mail address again, as the blog address has changed. Thank you times a million!
Still with me? OK, third and possibly the MOST important … my Facebook “fan page.” Ohhhhh Facebook you’re so wonderful to me, yet you’re so difficult when I need you most. Here’s the deal: I need to change the name of my Facebook fan page from “Katie Derksen Photography” to “love, katie photography,” but Facebook won’t let me do so unless I have less than 100 fans. SAD, I know. Facebook has some intense rules, which leaves me one of two choices: Create an entirely new page, or momentarily delete half my fans, beg for their forgiveness and ask them back after the change. I’m going to try the latter in the next couple of days … SO, if you notice that you are de-fanned from my page, please don’t think I hate you. Actually, I kind of love you, and I WILL find you again. 🙂
I think that’s all for now. And to all my past and present clients: You will be receiving an e-mail from me in the next few days with my new e-mail address. Thanks for sticking with me! Have a wonderful weekend!
