Sweet baby Noah, I saw a few things you didn’t.
I saw your daddy’s nervous paces the hour before your entered this world. As you spent a few final minutes snug and warm in your mommy’s belly, I saw him bring your mommy a tissue to wipe her tears. I saw your mama’s beautiful pink nails rub her belly in anticipation of seeing your sweet face soon, very soon.
It was an exciting morning, sweet boy. Those two, they love you deeply. Fiercely. They kiss each other when they think no one is looking and they laugh together, wholeheartedly. You and Owen — you two are the luckiest. More families like yours are exactly what this world needs.
I saw you take your first breath, I saw your daddy wipe the tears from his eyes, I saw your mommy break down in pure happiness. It was perfect, Noah. Perfect is not a word to be used lightly, but that moment — the moment your parents met you for the first time — it was absolute perfection.
Welcome, Noah John. I nearly exploded with honor and happiness on your birthday.

I love the photo below because it shows there are no limits to a mother’s love. As she kissed her new baby’s head, she reached out for her first baby, big brother Owen.
