Sometimes, you meet people in life who are … Just. Plain. Nice. Even on one of the most stressful days of their lives, they’re kind. They ask how you’re doing. They don’t give orders. It’s not the end of the world if a bug crawls on her wedding dress … or if another wedding party claims an entire acre as “their photo spot.” 😉
And they trust in your professionalism.
Carlie and Josh were all that, and more. I photographed Carlie’s sister’s wedding a few months back, and I have to say: I love this family! (As you may recall, Carlie’s other sister, Mel, is a friend from college.)
A few weeks ago, I (along with my second photographer for the day, Corey) had the pleasure of documenting the day Carlie and Josh said “I do.” As I was packing up my gear at the end of the night, my friend Mel looked at me with a sad face and said, “Kate, I don’t have any more sisters!” Meaning, how will we ever catch up at another wedding? So, we made a pact: Once or twice a year, we will meet halfway, grab a bite to eat, catch up on life. Mel, you are far too special of a person to lose touch. 🙂
I’ll start with a photo of the beautiful couple, one I shared a couple Friday’s back …
I love the next couple of shots Corey captured … I never get to see this angle of the bride coming down the aisle!
I absolutely loved the decor inside the tent — light and bright, full of yellows, pinks and white …
The tiniest wedding guest … 🙂
I have to admit: The guests at this wedding were dancing machines.
Congratulations, Carlie and Josh! I hope you had a fabulous time in Jamaica! 🙂
