Friday’s Frame ~ Welcome, boys. :)

They’re here! 🙂

Tommy and I are thankful beyond words to introduce our precious twin boys, Nolan Derk and Sam Robert. Both boys were born at 4:16 p.m. January 21 — Nolan weighed 5 lbs., 14 oz., and was 18 inches long; Sam weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz., and was 19 inches long.

Nolan and Sam’s arrival was a bit unpredictable and definitely a day to remember — unfortunately, I was involved in a car accident Tuesday morning, which sent me into labor. I was alone at the time of the accident — I had just dropped Gracey off at her babysitter when a driver erratically jumped the cement median and pulled a u-turn in front of me. I was then transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital, and later transferred to Waukesha Memorial, where our sweet boys were born within hours. I absolutely can’t say enough about my doctor as well as all the nurses and professionals at Waukesha Memorial who assisted in the safe delivery of our twins. It was a scary, hectic day — a day where my dear Tommy spent every minute by my side. Through all the trials and tribulations of our pregnancy, our boys couldn’t be healthier or happier. (OK, Sam is our fussy boy … we’re working on that.) 🙂

I received an “anonymous” message yesterday: “If there’s not a Friday’s Frame tomorrow, I just don’t know what I’ll do.” 🙂 So without further ado, here’s a few photos of our sweet babies. (And yes, you can expect to hear more about our journey with twins and a toddler in the weeks and months to come, but for now, I have about one finger free …)

This is Nolan, a bit camera shy. (Both boys are very secure with their pink blankets).

Nolan is on the left, Sam is on the right!
